As our friends at Steiner School in Ecuador ended their school year, we are grateful for this weekly language connection that allowed 5th graders to make new friends in a real-life context, learn about cultural differences, and grow in their conversational skills, pronunciation, listening comprehension, and empathy toward those learning English.

The works of three Maumee Valley students are appearing in the 41st Annual Ninth Congressional District Invitational High School Art Exhibition through March 31 at the Toledo Museum of Art. The students are Addy Jaffe '26, Alex Ni '24, and JJ Sills '24.
Kristin Kowalski channels the Maumee Valley Principles of Teaching Excellence through her creative passion for art and dedication to her students’ education. Kristin has been an art educator for 11 years and has taught art for Grades 8-12 at Maumee Valley for seven years, where she has been the Fine Arts Chair for the past three years and is co-director of the on-campus Wolfe Gallery.
